The game will be available for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One, which currently own these games, and will be eligible for a digital upgrade at no additional cost.

The upgrade patches for these three games will also be released for free for PC gamers when the PS5 and Xbox Series X and S versions launch, so there is no additional cost, which is actually a good way to go as it should be, the visual enhancements are something we won’t necessarily get when they bring them to the next generation, as far as like backwards compatibility, just from my owning an X-Series console and PS5 last year from personal experience, I’ve played 2 and 3 remastered on Xbox series X and the frame rate is much better, I mean it runs a lot smoother than it did on it.
Visually, I’m looking forward to this upgrade to see how the visuals look with the framerate boost, and of course there will be a patch for PC, I’m guessing the current upgrade, so I’m sure there will be a collection.
I’m sure they could release a collection for PS5, maybe bundle resident evil2 and resident evil3 together, even though it’s already free and you don’t have to pay for it, but if you don’t already own it and you want it, they could easily do that. But I’m all for free upgrades and I think it should be done and I think if you pay for the games you should be able to get free upgrades on these new consoles and play them as they were intended because honestly the way they run on the old machine is not the way they were intended to run on both consoles, I’m not showing up on any console, it’s like the last generation of consoles that tried to run these correctly games so I would say if you want to play it I would say if you want to play this game or if you have to go back and play it for content reasons or live reasons like I did, I would say wait until these visuals are added to the game so you can play the game with frame rates and enhanced visuals kind of like you did the first time you played the game but there’s not an actual date, just I’m showing you three screenshots here from the respective games just to show off a little bit, you know visually obviously from the screenshots you can’t really tell, there’s no actual you know uh comparison here or anything like that but of course they might have a trailer, some kind of 4K trailer thing coming out that says you know hey this is what it’s getting close to, here’s a date because Uh we don’t have a date yet so maybe they might put this out closer to when the village dlc is going to come out and we’ll see again it’s just little things and you know it’s nice to see something like that happen and they go back and they support you know their catalog.
