Tomb Raider was released on the original console in ’96 and has spawned many sequels, reboots and three movies.
Four years have passed since the last Tomb Raider, and it is unknown if this new game will continue where Tomb Raider left off.
This new Tomb Raider also appears to be in early development, and it will be the 13th mainline Tomb Raider game, and Crystal Dynamics’ franchise director Dallas Dickinson said this new engine translates into a new level of storytelling and gameplay experience.
The engine features a number of improvements for developers, including enhanced performance and an upgraded UI, but the most important changes come from a host of technologies designed for more realistic visuals, including Lumen, a fully dynamic global lighting solution for more realistic lightning, and Nanite, which Epic says gives you the ability to create games with lots of geometric detail and experiences.
Last December, CD projekt Red has confirmed that it is using the tool for the next Witcher, and Fortnite has moved to Unreal Engine 5. There are other games that will use Unreal Engine 5, so far we have the black mythology developed by Merker Games – Goku no Tale, Thrones will be an exciting game, the The Emir Saga, Redford, and The Legend of Senua are among my favorite games, and even the first one is so beautiful with a good story and quests.
