If you’re a back 4 blood nerd, you’re going to love today’s article because what we’re going to do is dive into two different decks and see how they compete with each other because one of the things I’ve been asked about a lot lately since I’ve been posting deck articles that apply to all games is swap speed, so we’re going to compare two cards, one of which is gun out and gun out What it does is it gives you 50 swap speed, but it gives you a penalty of minus 5 damage resistance. In the other corner, we have hubris, and what hubris does is it gives you 75 weapon exchange speed, but when you take damage, you lose 20 accuracy for three seconds, so we’re going to go through each of those stats on those cards and see how much they affect your game, and if it really matters, does the extra 25 exchange speed really matter at the end of the day? Tell you exactly how much of a difference it makes Now the situation is I’m going to have a Belgian and a Phoenix and the reason for that is I usually have a sub and then there’s a sniper rifle and when I do the swap speed stuff, which I think is what a lot of people do to manage reload builds, the Belgian is very slow on swap and so is the Phoenix and we’re going to see that go from zero to 50 and then zero to 75% and how much of a difference it makes. The thing to remember is that if you have the swap speed attachment on your gun, that makes it faster, so those cards have a little bit of a diminishing returns effect, but if you go from zero to whatever this card offers, you’ll see very clearly how much it actually helps, I’m going to swap and shoot as fast as I can, I’m going to swap back to the other weapon and shoot again, and you’ll see how much time has passed in the meantime. I don’t know about you guys, but after rewatching this, I didn’t expect the extra 25 minutes to make much of a difference to things, but it’s proven to make enough of a difference that you can see it, hear it, without having to modify the article, just in real time you can see the effect of it, so the first point is arrogance, now let’s move on to the anti-damage side of things, because if you look a look at the gun here, you do lose 5% damage resistance, so that’s actually quantifiable and the way I measure it is I think people are most vulnerable and that’s It’s really interesting, so I went to Act 4 and the reason I did that was I could guarantee that I was going to get a huge written, I was in nightmare mode and what I noticed was I started out cocky because there was no negative damage resistance, what happened? I noticed that I started out with “hubris” because there was no negative damage resistance and the result was about 10 damage per ridden hit, eventually reaching 11 damage, but most of the hits were 10 damage for one ridden hit, so there must have been some sort of decimal number for me to reach 11, but most of the hits were 10.
one more thing to note is that each hit does traumatic damage twice, okay, now take the gun out, how much will that five percent change, much more than I expected, and the reason for that is if you notice in hubris, each hit does 10 damage, and if I take the gun out, each hit does 11, and if we say 5, it shouldn’t be 11, 11, 11, it should be 10, 11 , because it should be 10.5 because of the five percent, but it actually presents more like minus ten percent than minus five percent, which kind of sucks, now you could say it’s still only one damage, not that big of a deal, but it’s a nuance that I didn’t think about when I was comparing these things and with the gun out, I’m not sure if that changes anything, but it does appear , it’s mostly two traumas per written strike and just seeing those two things, I think it will clarify a lot of things for a lot of people because I can tell you if your exchange rate is.
Because I can tell you that if your exchange rate is .7 and you get this multiplier in there, it could go down to .
54, yeah, just like the numbers, it doesn’t mean anything to anybody, right, who cares, but actually seeing these things, I think it matters to people, so that’s what I think is really cool about comparing these two cards, but now let’s move on to the hubris The other part of it, and I think it’s kind of mysterious to a lot of people, so if you look at hubris again your accuracy is reduced by 20 when you take damage for 3 seconds. One of the things I hear a lot is that if I’m advertising it, it doesn’t matter because it’s 100 accuracy.
What I want to make clear to you now is that in most cases, that’s not true.
