1. Why didn’t they just call the game Resident Evil 8 ?

It’s still the 8th in the series and they’re treating it as such.
You can even see the Roman number VIII in the game logo; so it’s Resident Evil 8, just not in name. 

2. Resident Evil Village, will be available on playstation5, playstation4, Xbox Series X, Xbox one, and Steam.

3. The game will use RE Engine 

4. The game takes place a few years after the events of Resident Evil 7 biohazard. and it follows the story of protagonist Ethan Winters.
